I too feel that I am becoming a mistress to his own career. There are over promises in the Bible. I agree we shouldn't continue if we can't accept each other as we are.
Oh well, I'll just pretend she's not mormon and see what happens. My seminary teacher went off on me about dating a non Mormon when I was talking about going to his prom. With so much pervasive degeneracy in the media, Mormon parents think they are safe showing their kids Disney movies. When out on a date with a Mormon guy or girl, be very decent, courteous, and well-mannered. Plan on knowing their religion better than they do at all times.
Sounds like classic "flirt to convert. I'm worried this nightmare journey has destroyed my sense of self and confidence. I was definitely taking the "Tough love" approach because I've read countless times on this and other boards, how Mormons claimed that they were cool with their SO not being Mormon, and that they weren't, themselves, orthodox. I would do it all over again and thank my lucky stars that I found this man, that he loves, and that I love him. If it is already an issue in your relationship, then it'll amplify to an extreme if you get married.
I got married to a Mormon woman. Get her to explain what she believes, and how it might differ from her church. She found the perfect Mormon guy, they were married in the temple.
